IMPORTANT: By accessing this website, utilizing our California Notary Directory, purchasing any course, or generating a Digital Wallet Pass, you expressly agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Refund & Cancellation Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use this site.

1. Business Disclosure & Services Overview

Remote Notary Course (a subsidiary of Ze Animation Studios Inc.) is an Approved California Secretary of State Notary Public Education Provider. We operate an online educational portal, specialized continuing education training, a California Notary Public search directory, and digital credential tools.

Your billing statement may reflect Notary Course, Notary, or Ze Animation Studios Inc. You acknowledge that you are responsible for selecting the correct education tier (3-hour refresher, 6-hour initial, or specialized certifications) required for your professional goals.

2. Mandatory Certification Requirements & Fees

To receive an official California Secretary of State “Proof of Completion” certificate, students must fulfill all statutory criteria:

• Mandatory Seat Time: Completion of the full required instruction time (3 or 6 hours) as actively tracked and audited by our learning management system.
• Final Examination: Achieving a passing score on the final course quiz. Merely viewing or scrolling through materials without passing the examination does not constitute legal completion.
• Administrative Service Fee: Payment of a mandatory $12.00 administrative service fee. This fee is separate from tuition and covers mandatory identity verification, secure certificate serial number generation, and instant digital delivery.
• Specialized Courses: Non-statutory training (including Apostille Agent Specialist and Notary Signing Agent courses) issue proprietary certificates of completion upon exam passing and are not reported to the Secretary of State.

3. Course Access Duration & Expirations

Your license to access purchased course material is time-limited based on the tier selected (6 months for standard single-course access; 12 months for bundles and extended packages). Access terminates automatically at the end of the term. It is the student’s sole responsibility to complete the training, pass the examination, and claim certification prior to expiration.

4. Digital Wallet Passes & Subscription Terms

Our platform offers digital credentials for Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, alongside tiered directory search packages:

• Networking Tool Only: Digital Wallet ID passes are strictly networking and marketing aids. Under California Law, a digital pass does not substitute for your physical commission certificate, notary seal, or official journal.
• Recurring Subscriptions: Memberships (such as Notary Pro at $4.99/month or Agency at $7.99/month) are billed on a recurring 30-day cycle via Stripe. You may cancel at any time through your billing portal prior to the next billing date.
• Rate Limits & Security: To prevent data harvesting and protect directory integrity, search queries and OTP verification requests are subject to automated rate limits per IP address.

5. User Conduct & Student Integrity

California Law strictly requires that the registered student personally complete all educational instruction. Any evidence of automated completion scripts, proxy attendance, course sharing, or quiz circumvention will result in immediate permanent account termination, revocation of issued certificates, and forfeiture of all fees without refund.

6. Intellectual Property & Anti-Scraping

All content provided on this platform—including course architecture, PHP scripts, digital wallet generation logic, proprietary quiz banks, directory formatting, video media, and text—is the exclusive Intellectual Property of Remote Notary Course and Ze Animation Studios Inc.

7. Disclaimer of State Commissioning

Remote Notary Course provides State Approved Notary Public Education and professional resources. We do not guarantee that a student will pass the official State Exam administered by CPS HR Consulting, nor do we guarantee commission issuance by California Secretary of State, which remains subject to State background checks and statutory qualifications.

8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. By using this service, you agree to resolve any dispute in Los Angeles County, CA, and you expressly waive any right to file a payment chargeback on grounds of “non-receipt of certificate” if you failed the final quiz, did not fulfill the mandatory seat time, or failed to pay the $12.00 administrative fee.
